The Community You Will Join: The User Product Team is currently hiring a Software Engineer. Core to Airbnb is belonging, connecting people, and creating community. The User Product team focuses on all things related to users and their interactions. From sign up and login to user profiles and engagement, this team ensures a scalable and consistent platform that supports users as guests, hosts, or businesses. The team plays a central role in making Airbnb an engaging platform. Collaborate with engineering teams across the stack and with partners in Authentication Infrastructure, Trust, Knowledge Graph, Search, Listings, and others to build scalable, high-quality platforms. Work with cross-functional partners to define and execute products and features that enable users to set up their accounts and profiles efficiently. Architect and develop efficient, reusable backend components and reliable, high-performance, scalable systems. Evaluate and prototype new technologies to enable faster iteration across our tech stack. Mentor and support other engineers within the team and related teams. Your Expertise: 6+ years of industry experience Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in CS or equivalent experience Experience in building and scaling high-traffic, high-quality products or systems Ability to evaluate technical approaches and design solutions for real-world problems Strong skills in aligning teams, managing projects, and collaborating with stakeholders Your Location: This position is US-based and remote eligible. Occasional work at an Airbnb office or attendance at offsites may be required as agreed with your manager. You must reside in a state where Airbnb, Inc. has a registered entity.
