Server / Beertender - Grand Rapids, MI

Atwater Brewery & Biergarten in downtown Grand Rapids is looking to add to the team. Our portfolio of award-winning craft beers offers something for everyone. We believe that beer should be approachable to every drinker. We're looking for a knowledgeable, personable and passionate individual to highlight our foods, beers and experiences for the Grand Rapids area.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Support the company's mission and corporate values.
• Act with honesty, respect and integrity, in the taproom and with each other.
• Greets and serves guests in a friendly and timely manner.
• Knowledgeable about beer, cocktail and food menus.
• Endeavors to up-sell food, beer and specials.
• Confident and comfortable serving tables and behind the bar.
• Educates guests on the company, history and the beer.
• Receives and processes payments on proper terminals.
• Delivers food and drinks to customers.
• Assists in keeping pub clean and following sanitation requirements.
• Adheres to proper hygiene.
• Attendance required per company policy.
• Performs other tasks as assigned.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum 1 year serving experience.
• Excellent customer service skills
• Strong communication skills
• Strong quality control skills
• Ability to multitask
• Works well independently and cooperatively in a team environment.
• Beer/Brewery Knowledge preferred but not necessary.
