Position Overview/Responsibilities for the Staff Accountant:

• Engage in the preparation of standard and specialized journal entries and financial reports, ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

• Compile and analyze financial data to prepare entries into accounts, such as general ledger accounts, and document business transactions.

• Establish, maintain, and coordinate the implementation of accounting and control procedures.

• Support the financial close cycle by preparing journal entries for expense allocations, accruals, and other routine financial transactions.

• Collaborate with store support center team members and personnel from stores and distribution centers to address inquiries regarding journal entries and financial reports.

Required Skills for Staff Accountant:

• 0-2 years of general accounting experience, with a preference for those familiar with SAP.

• Proficiency in Excel, including VLOOKUP and pivot tables, is essential.

• Strong attention to detail, particularly in processing and reviewing documentation, data entry, and data integrity.

• Ability to build strong partnerships and interdepartmental relationships.

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field is preferred, with an interest in obtaining a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation being advantageous.
