Job Title: Table Service AssistantSupervisors: General Manager-AGM, ManagersPosition Overview: The Bungalow Service Assistant is responsible for overseeing table maintenance and assisting the servers in maintaining impeccable standards of service to our guests. Must be able to operate effectively as part of a team, communicate clearly, assist in the overall upkeep of the venue, and ensure smooth service operations and quality service.The Company:Conjured from the rich imagination of hospitality visionary Brent Bolthouse, The Bungalow radiates the relaxed charm of another era and marks The Bungalow brand's third location in Southern California.We are a cocktail lounge/bar with a 70's California house party theme. We play beachy, mellow feel good music in the 70's & 80's genre. We have a DJ Thursday-Sunday, starting at 9:45pm, and Saturday & Sunday starting at 12pm. We are open 5 days a week, with last call at 1:30 and, closing at 2AM. We pride ourselves on being a destination full of amazing specialty cocktails, entertainment, and a welcoming team! As a service assistant you are the face of The Bungalow, and your most important job is to ensure we greet and take care of all our guest!Essential Duties:Be prepared to work weekends, late nights, and holidaysComplete all daily and weekly side work cleaning dutiesAssist in all set up and break down of the venueEnsure that your work area is clean and organized at the start of the shiftMaintain the cleanliness of the venue, both front of house and back of house areas, at all timesApproach and interact with guests with a smile and friendly demeanor. Respond to all guest questions. Provide assistance, direction, and information as requested when working in public areasBe available on radio/walkie talkies at all times ready to take a request from colleagues immediatelyAssist servers in preparing and delivering bottle service orders to tablesConstantly carry a silver bucket through the venue prepared to collect used glassware, plates, and debris from tablesAbide by all state, federal, and corporate liquor and food regulations pertaining to serving and handling food and alcohol (LEAD, TIPs, RBS, and Food Handlers)Attend all required meetings and daily pre shiftsHave a positive influence on the team by constantly maintaining a positive and gossip free work environmentMaintain a level of energy to respond urgently to staff, guest, and venue requestsBe willing to go the extra mile and take pride in the work you do.Customer Focus: The colleague is genuinely pleasant, positive and helpful to both guests and colleaguesConfident, helpful and genuine with internal and external customersAnticipates guests' needs and is sensitive to people from all culturesIs conscientious and always attentive to detailGoes the extra mileHas a natural, warm smile and a friendly and passionate approachServes guests with a sense of modesty and humilityTeam Player: The colleague co-operates and works well with othersDelivers their Best: The colleague is hard working and efficientTrustworthy and Responsible: The colleague is trustworthy, responsible, demonstrates our culture's values and philosophy and works in a safe mannerComposure: The colleague can handle the pressure and remains calm at all timesCommitted: The colleague represents The Bungalow brand well and is a true 'Fan'Required Qualifications2-3 years' previous experience as a busser in a restaurant setting. Some experience in a nightlife setting a plusMust have excellent communication skills both written and verbal in the English languageAbility to work a flexible schedule which includes am, pm, weekends and holidaysMust have the upmost professional standardsMaintain proper grooming standards, appearance and friendly demeanorAbility to handle multiple guest requests and work under a high paced environmentMust be 21 years or older .Must be able to lift 45 poundsMust be able to work on your feet, standing up for an 8 hours shift.Each of the items listed is considered an essential function of the position.
