\n\nJob Details:
\n• Work 12-hour night shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
\n• Every other weekend requirement
\n• Department: CVU (Cardiovascular Unit)
\n• 18-bed unit with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:4 (1:3 for post-surgical patients in first 24 hours)
\n• Care for patients requiring intermediate care and downgraded CVICU patients
\n• Support thoracic program, EP, cath lab, and structural heart procedures
\n• Common diagnoses include Cath Lab patients, CVAs, CHF, A fib RVR, and cardiac/vascular conditions
\n• Required to titrate drips including Amio, nitro, nicardipine, epi, cardizem, and blood pressure medications
\n• Must read and interpret telemetry strips with remote tele techs and hardwired capabilities
\n• Float to all same level and lower acuity units
\n• 1-2 shifts of unit-specific orientation tailored to experience
\n• Pass/fail open book exam on Friday during orientation requiring 90% to pass
\n• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
\n• 1 year of experience with this patient population required
\n• Navy blue scrub color required
\n• Artificial nails prohibited in patient care areas
\n• EPIC charting system
\n• Must be located outside 50-mile radius and cannot be employed with CommonSpirit facilities
\n• RTO needed upfront (7 or less days per 13-week contract)
