American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cath Lab position requiring BLS, ACLS, and strong scrub skills with call and weekend coverage.

\n \n Responsibilities\n
  • Work in a diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab setting
  • Treats young, middle-aged, and older adult patients
  • Performs procedures such as diagnostic catheterizations, coronary athrectomy, IABP placement and removal, Impella and TAVR insertion, orbital athrectomy, rotoblader athrectomy, PCI, PTCA, Watchman, and Mitraclip
  • 4x10 hour day shifts, Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM - 6:00 PM, with rotating day off
  • On-call requirement includes 7 on-call shifts and 5 late shifts every 6 weeks, with a 30-minute callback time
  • Requires 1 week of call per 5-week schedule and 1 Saturday per 5-week rotation
  • Must work at least one holiday per 13-week assignment; two holidays required for winter season (Thanksgiving, Christmas/Christmas Eve, NYE/New Year's)
  • Travelers who live within 100 miles of the facility are considered local and are not accepted unless meeting specific exceptions
  • Travelers who live 50-99.9 miles away may be considered for one 13-week assignment with no eligibility for extension
  • Travelers who live under 50 miles may be considered for one 13-week assignment at a lower pay rate with no extension eligibility
  • Previous employees must be separated for at least one year before returning as a traveler
  • Travelers are not eligible to return after 365 days of cumulative assignment time starting July 1, 2025, with possible case-by-case exceptions
  • First 24 hours of orientation modules are non-billable with additional hours allowed for specialty modules
  • Dress code: scrub attire is required
  • Must complete compliance documents before assignment starts

  • Active VA or compact state RN license required
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Previous Cath Lab RN experience required
  • Experience with Impella insertion, IABP, TAVR, Watchman, and Mitraclip strongly preferred
  • Scrub experience strongly preferred
  • Epic EMR experience preferred but not required
  • Two professional references required for consideration
  • Must provide a copy of driver’s license and Social Security card
