Med/Surg RN Job Details – Ohio Healthcare Jobs

• Location: Gallipolis, OH 45631 – Enjoy a low cost of living, beautiful parks, bird watching, local taverns, cheese creamery, and easy access to Cincinnati, Pittsburgh, and the Bob Evans Farm.
  
• Healthcare Setting: Medical Surgical Unit (HMC Two West)
  
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
  
• Nursing Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week (19:00 - 07:00)
  
• Hours per Week: 36
  
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1570-$1610
  
• Patient Ratio: 1:6
  
• Charting System: Paragon (no prior experience required)
  
• Weekend/Holiday Coverage: Every other weekend and holidays
  
• Floating: May be required based on unit needs
  
• Scrub Colors: Royal blue, white, or a combination
  
• Parking: Free in any unrestricted space
  

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of recent Medical Surgical RN experience
  
• Active Ohio RN license or compact RN license (required at time of submission)
  
• BLS certification (Basic Life Support)
  
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of Gallipolis, OH
  
• US Citizenship required
  
• COVID-19 vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
  

Med/Surg RN Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to adult patients in a medical-surgical unit
  
• Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and progress
  
• Administer medications and prescribed treatments
  
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams for optimal patient outcomes
  
• Educate and support patients and their families
  
• Float to other hospital units as needed
  
• Work every other weekend and holidays per schedule
