Job Duties

Performs noninvasive vascular testing, preliminary interpretation and reporting of test results, independent triage patient history and exam requests, assessment of results to determine level of disease and need for additional testing or urgency of further care or reporting to provider. Collaborates with providers to enable the appropriate patient care, depending on the results of exams; Communicates test results with referring providers to ensure timely and appropriate patient care.

• Ensures correct order is obtained, patient is properly identified and prepared for exam, and that clinical history is corroborated and appropriately documented while respecting confidentiality.
• Utilizes appropriate imaging protocol and optimizes technical factors while maximizing patient safety, optimizing patient care, and applying principles of ALARA (As Low as Reasonably Achievable). 
• Preparing and/or administering, as applicable, medications through new or existing vascular access site as prescribed by a licensed practitioner.
• Evaluates images for proper positioning and acceptable technical quality and verifies archival storage and/or transfer of data, post processing of data if applicable. 
• Educating and monitoring students and other health care providers. 
• Performing diagnostic vascular sonographic procedures as prescribed by a licensed practitioner or during appropriate educational activities.

Position Details

• $15,000 Sign on Bonus for Qualified Applicants

• DAYS : Monday - Friday - 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 pm. (Days)

• On Call : Rotation based: Weekdays, Weekends, and Holidays - Will be reviewed at the interview

• GMC

Registered Vascular Technologist - American Registry for Diagnostic Medical (ARDMS) or Registered Vascular Specialist - Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) Sonography- required with in 6 months of hire.

Education

Graduate from Specialty Training Program-Related Field of Study (Required), Associate's Degree-Related Field of Study (Preferred)

Experience

Minimum of 1 year-Related work experience (Preferred)

Certification(s) and License(s)

Registered Vascular Technologist within 6 months - ARDMS or CCI; Basic Life Support Certification - Default Issuing Body
