Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Warehouse Manager to oversee our warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing inventory, ensuring efficient logistics, and optimizing warehouse processes to enhance productivity. This role requires strong leadership skills and a thorough understanding of supply chain management, warehouse distribution, and inventory control.

The position may require cross shift availability based on staffing and facility support needs.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Oversees the daily workflow of the warehouse; schedules and organizes staff to ensure proper staffing of all shifts.
  • Hires and trains new warehouse employees.
  • Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
  • Handles discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring compliance with safety standards, company policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Manage inventory levels and implement effective inventory control measures.
  • Develop and execute process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Coordinate transportation management activities, including freight shipping and receiving.
  • Collaborate with demand planning and production planning teams to align warehouse operations with overall business objectives.
  • Utilize, update and monitor ERP system to track inventory movements and optimize storage solutions.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to streamline processes and reduce costs.
  • Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers and ensure effective fleet management.
  • Communicate with customers and vendors professional and in a timely manner

Skills

  • Proficiency in process improvement methodologies such as Lean principles.
  • Experience with ERP Systems specifically PLEX and SAP.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems for efficient data management within the supply chain context.
  • Proven ability in logistics, shipping & receiving, order fulfillment, and dispatching practices.
  • Excellent supervisory experience with a focus on team development and performance management.
  • Strong understanding of materials management and inventory control
  • Ability to multitask in a fast pace, consistently changing environment
  • Must be forklift certified or obtain such certification within the first 90 days of employee
  • Forklift Trainer certification a plus
