As a  bodily injury claims adjuster on our team, you’ll independently manage a claim - including the injury portion - along with supporting customer needs while ensuring a swift resolution. Ideal candidates will put their strong negotiation and customer service skills to use interacting with customers, insurance carriers and others. Ongoing coaching will be provided, allowing you to feel confident in performing your job and developing relationships with our customers.

 

This is a hybrid role. You’ll be expected to report to an office about four days per month for important meetings, training, and collaboration and will have the benefit of continued coaching from a supportive team. If you prefer an in-office environment, you’re welcome to work in the office more than four days per month.

 

Duties & responsibilities

  • Making coverage decisions that determine the extent of Progressive’s liability
  • Gathering details through interviews and investigations regarding those injured in an accident
  • Settling unrepresented bodily injury claims, among other things
  • Calculates benefit payments and approves payment of claims within a defined monetary limit

Must-have qualifications

  • Four years of relevant work experience with one year in claims handling
  • {OR} Associate's degree and three years relevant work experience with one year in claims handling
  • {OR} Bachelor's degree and one year in claims handling

Compensation

  • $61,400-$72,200/year based on experience
  • Gainshare annual cash incentive payment up to 16% of your eligible earnings based on company performance
