Strategy & Planning Develop comprehensive annual communications plan and timeline aligned with Development and Program priorities, including media and social media tactics Collaborate with program and administration leadership to ensure consistent brand and messaging to current and potential stakeholders Communications Play a lead staff role in managing (in partnership with committee chair) the organization’s Communications Committee Develop, design, and deploy a monthly e-newsletter for external and internal stakeholders Support BGCH Program and Human Resource communications needs, as assigned Play a lead role (in coordination with VP of Development) in developing special event communications, including scripting, promotional materials, signage, program books, etc. Media relations Create and maintain current media database for print, radio, and broadcast channels Write and distribute all press releases to promote special events, club news, grant awards, etc., as appropriate Cultivate strong working relationships with regional media (Hartford Courant, Hartford Magazine, Hartford Business Journal, etc.) Pitch news stories/photo ops that highlight the positive impact of Clubs Coordinate opportunities to position Club & Board leadership as thought leaders on youth development issues through Op-eds, participation in area radio/tv programming. Etc.
