Offshore Rig Welder Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Offshore Rig Welder to join our team and contribute to the safe and efficient operation of offshore rigs. The ideal candidate will perform welding tasks on various structural components, equipment, and piping systems in a challenging offshore environment. This role requires strict adherence to safety protocols and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Offshore Rig Welder Responsibilities

• Perform welding and cutting operations on steel structures, pipelines, and equipment in accordance with engineering drawings, specifications, and industry standards.
• Conduct fabrication, repair, and maintenance of offshore rig components, ensuring structural integrity and compliance with safety regulations.
• Inspect and assess welding work to identify potential defects or repairs needed.
• Operate welding equipment, tools, and machinery, ensuring they are maintained in proper working condition.
• Work on projects involving SMAW, GTAW, and GMAW welding techniques for various metals, including carbon steel and stainless steel.
• Collaborate with other offshore crew members, such as pipefitters, scaffolders, and riggers, to complete tasks efficiently.
• Adhere to offshore safety standards and participate in safety drills, toolbox talks, and hazard assessments.
• Maintain accurate records of completed work, inspections, and material usage.
• Follow all company policies and industry regulations related to offshore operations.

Offshore Rig Welder Position Requirements 

• Proven experience as a Welder, with at least 2-5 years in offshore or similar environments.
• Proficiency in various welding techniques, including SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding), GTAW (Gas Tungsten Arc Welding), and GMAW (Gas Metal Arc Welding).
• Knowledge of offshore safety practices and certifications, such as BOSIET, HUET, or FOET (preferred).
• Valid welding certifications (e.g., AWS, ASME, or equivalent).
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols.

Offshore Rig Welder Preferred

• Offshore rig experience, including knowledge of rig operations and procedures.
• Familiarity with corrosion-resistant alloys and welding in high-pressure environments.
• Additional trade certifications or training in offshore rigging or scaffolding.
