Overview Stand-Alone Children's Hospital in Southwest Florida Physician Assistant Responsibilities Pediatrix Medical Group seeks a Physician Assistant to join its practice at Golisano Children's Hospital in Ft Myers, Florida. The hospital's NICU offers: * State-of-the-art facility with a 70-bed, Level-III NICU * The health system has two facilities and 7000 deliveries per year * Cape Coral Hospital provides a Level-I low-risk delivery service * Primary responsibilities include providing coverage at our Level-III NICU * All subspecialty services available (except cardiovascular surgery and ECMO) and high-risk delivery service coverage * In-house call and 24-hour NNP coverage * Level-I coverage includes well baby care and back-up coverage from home * Team of 10 neonatologists and 10 NNPs * We value a team-approach toward care, in a developmentally sensitive and family-centered unit * Our core values support a culture of life-long learning and professional growth * Robust quality improvement program and opportunities for clinical research, if desired * Opportunity available for entry level applicants to enroll in a Neonatal PA Post-Graduate Training Program About the hospital * Golisano Children's Hospital is part of Lee Health and the only children's hospital between Tampa and Miami * A stand alone 135 bed, 7-story facility that opened in 2017 * Home to southwest Florida's only state-designated Regional Perinatal Intensive Care Unit * Named top children's hospital by the Leapfrog Group four times, among many other accolades Fort Myers Fast Facts * Located on the Gulf Coast, offering access to miles of beautiful beaches with crystal-clear water and soft white sand * Recognized as one the nation's top destinations for beach combing, shelling and bird watching * Situated on the Caloosahatchee River, providing ample opportunities for boating and fishing * Home to several cultural and entertainment venues, including the Barbara B.
