As a Security Professional – Commercial Building - Overnight Shift in Sparks, NV , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate and more .

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a commercial real estate location, you will play an important role in helping to deter security-related incidents by conducting regular patrols and maintaining a visible presence throughout the property. Your responsibilities include monitoring assigned areas, observing for unusual activity, and supporting access control measures. You will have the opportunity to interact with tenants, visitors, and staff, providing outstanding customer service and clear communication to address questions or concerns. What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the commercial real estate location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and identify any unusual conditions.
  • Document and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or suspicious activities according to site guidelines.
  • Assist with access control by monitoring entry and exit points and verifying credentials as required.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, visitors, and Allied Universal team members to support a secure environment.
  • Remain alert to changes in the environment and provide timely updates to site management and/or Allied Universal as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possession of a Guard Card or license is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
