GENERAL SUMMARY

Processes the legal transfer of documents for the Department of Motor Vehicles on all New Vehicles Sold Retail and Used vehicles sold retail.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Processes all New vehicles for registration in the state in which they will be titled.
  • Submits all legal transfer work to the Department of Motor Vehicles.
  • Verifies that funds have been collected before processing title applications.
  • Checks for accuracy in the application and ensures that all information is complete.
  • Compiles and maintains notes in Reverse Risk of all outstanding title work.
  • Assist with other functions in Accounting as needed when asked by Management.
  • Stays abreast of title regulations. Attends seminars held by local licensing bureaus and any available training on title regulations.
  • Back-up for titling used vehicles.
  • Scans title documents into CDK’s J screen.
  • Posts the EFT from WebDealer.
  • Verifies that accounts have been cleared prior to being sent to storage.
  • Maintains and cleans TTL schedule.
  • Receptionist relief when needed.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • One to two years related experience and/or training.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general procedures.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate and percent
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, and volume.
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
