Job Details

• Shift: 5x8-Hour Days (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
• Oncology Experience: Preferred
• Setting: Outpatient (not hospital-based)
• Float: Yes, within scope
• First-Time Travelers: Accepted
• Weekend Requirement: Occasional weekend call
• Call Requirement: None

Requirements

• Experience: 2+ years in an outpatient setting
• Certifications:
  • BLS (Required)
  • IV Certified (Required)
• License:
  • Valid CA LVN License at time of submission (No pending licenses accepted)
  • Temp licenses not accepted

• Age Groups: Adults & Geriatrics

Key Clinical Skills

• Outpatient Oncology & Surgical Oncology
• IVs, Starting IVs, IV Pumps
• Central Line Care (draws & dressing changes)
• Medication Reconciliation, Pain Assessment
• Vital Signs, Oxygen Therapy, EKG
• Blood Product Monitoring
• Wound Care / Wound Vac
• Phlebotomy, Vaccinations, Aseptic Setup
• Telephone Triage, Follow-up Calls, Pharmacy Requests
• Admission & Discharge

Compliance & Submittal Details

• Tier Level: Tier 1
• Submittals: Low
• Time Off (RTO):
  • Must be 7 days or less
  • No RTO during first 2 weeks of assignment
• Return Staff Policy:
  • Must be 1 year separated from any Cedars-Sinai facility
  • Must list all past Cedars employment (perm or travel)

• Modules:

  • Paid (2 hours)
  • Completed during orientation
  • Varies by specialty
