Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and update GIS databases, including data collection, input, and quality control.

  • Perform spatial analysis and create custom maps and reports to support various departments.

  • Integrate GIS with other enterprise systems, such as SAP, to streamline workflows and improve data accuracy.

  • Provide technical support and training to end-users on GIS applications and tools.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, design solutions, and implement GIS projects.

  • Develop and maintain GIS applications, including web-based and mobile solutions.

  • Conduct data analysis, validation, and visualization to support decision-making processes.

  • Prepare documentation, including user manuals, technical reports, and project plans.

  • Stay current with GIS trends, technologies, and best practices to ensure the continuous improvement of our GIS capabilities.

Requirements

What We're Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Geography, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Computer Science, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working with ESRI ArcGIS Software Suite, including Enterprise, Desktop, Server, Portal, Pro, and Online.

  • Proven experience in the electric or gas utilities sector.

  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C#, Java, Python, and SQL.

  • Experience with ArcGIS Runtime SDK, ArcGIS API for JavaScript and Python, ArcObjects, ArcPy, Arcade, REST, JSON, GeoJSON, ASP.NET WC, Web API, RDF, HTML, CSS, XML, and Visual Studio.

  • Strong understanding of relational databases and enterprise GIS solutions.

  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Bonus: Experience presenting workshops or training sessions on GIS technology within the utilities sector.
